an initiative of KU Leuven in cooperation with Prof. Alessandro Mandolini, Chair of TC212 Deep Foundation ISSMGE.
Key Details:
- participants will predict the lateral-load response of of hollow steel monopiles installed at a test site in Zeebrugge, Belgium; one pile was installed by vibratory driving and the other by impact hammering
- this is a unique opportunity to apply geotechnical insights, test models, and compare predictions with field performance results
- data from in-situ geotechnical investigation and laboratory tests are provided to support participants’ predictions.
