X IAGIG, Pisa, 3-4 Settembre 2021
A causa dell’emergenza sanitaria, l’anno scorso è stato necessario rinviare la X edizione dell’Incontro Annuale dei Giovani Ingegneri Geotecnici (IAGIG). Il comitato organizzatore è fiducioso di poter riorganizzare IAGIG a Pisa venerdì 3 e sabato 4 Settembre 2021.
Tutti i giovani ingegneri sono invitati a partecipare inviando anche un proprio contributo tecnico da redigere secondo il template scaricabile qui e inviare a iagig@associazionegeotecnica.
IAGIG è un’iniziativa intesa a promuovere la discussione di argomenti di ingegneria geotecnica e favorire uno scambio di esperienze e conoscenze tra giovani ingegneri, interessati alle problematiche geotecniche, attivi sia in ambito professionale (liberi professionisti, dipendenti di enti pubblici o di imprese, collaboratori presso studi professionali, giovani imprenditori del settore, etc.) sia nel contesto accademico.
I temi centrali dell’incontro riguardano principalmente gli aspetti, tradizionali ed innovativi, della progettazione, esecuzione e controllo di opere di ingegneria geotecnica, come: monitoraggio e controllo di opere geotecniche; Geotecnica sismica; Geotecnica ambientale; case histories e lessons learnt; indagini in sito e di laboratorio; interventi di miglioramento e rinforzo; stabilità dei pendii; ingegneria dei geosintetici; modellazione numerica e fisica dei terreni e delle rocce

Two Postdoctoral positions at the Hainan institute of Zhejiang University (China)
The Hainan Institute of Zhejiang University invites applications for two postdoctoral positions in Geotechnical Engineering. The Institute seeks applicants in all areas of Geotechnical Engineering with representative examples including but not limited to: offshore geotechnics, numerical and physically modelling of geo-materials. All candidates with advanced experience in experimental (particularly centrifuge modelling), field, computational, or a combination of these geotechnical capabilities will be considered. There are currently two postdoctoral positions at the Hainan institute of Zhejiang University funded by the institute in the year of 2021.
About the Institute: Zhejiang University, one of the top universities in Asia, is one of the earliest institutions of higher education in China. It ranks 53th according to QS World University Rankings 2020.
Qualifications: Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Science or other relevant discipline and have the ability to build an independent, externally funded research program at the forefront of their field.
Research topics: The research institute mainly focus on the geotechnical problems in offshore geotechnics, particularly in the areas relating to characterization and modelling of marine sediments (including gas hydrate bearing sediments), offshore foundations, pipeline geotechnics and offshore geo-hazards.

A tale scopo l’AGI invita tutti i giovani soci ISSMGE che vogliono candidarsi, ad inviare per email (agi@associazionegeotecnica.it), entro il 30 aprile 2020, il sommario dell’attività di ricerca che intendono eventualmente presentare e il proprio CV.

Position at Technical University of Graz (Austria)
Graz University of Technology, Faculty of Civil Engineering Sciences, has an immediate opening for a fully funded position (40 hours a week) as tenure track professorship for women in the field Geotechnics / Tunnelling with in-depth knowledge of Data Science / Artificial Intelligence at the Institute of Rock Mechanics and Tunnelling. After fulfilment of the qualification agreement, the candidate will be appointed as associated professor (permanent position).

Il prossimo Incontro Annuale dei Giovani Ingegneri Geotecnici (IAGIG) si terrà a Pisa il 17 e il 18 Luglio 2020, presso il Convento delle Benedettine, Lungarno Sonnino 18.
IAGIG è un’iniziativa dell’Associazione Geotecnica Italiana che vuole promuovere tra i suoi giovani soci la discussione di argomenti di Ingegneria Geotecnica con riferimento alla pratica professionale ed alle innovazioni proposte dalla ricerca. L’iniziativa è stata pensata, quindi, per coinvolgere liberi professionisti, dipendenti di enti pubblici o di imprese, giovani imprenditori del settore, neo-laureati, giovani ricercatori.
I giovani ingegneri sono invitati a partecipare inviando anche un proprio contributo tecnico da redigere secondo il template scaricabile qui e inviare a iagig@associazionegeotecnica.it entro il 29 Febbraio 2020. La partecipazione all’evento è gratuita ed è prevista una visita tecnica.
