SISTEMI INNOVATIVI DI MONITORAGGIO GEOTECNICO MEDIANTE SENSORI IN FIBRA OTTICA – Padova 28 giugno 2022
Martedì 28 Giugno 2022 (ore 9:00-17:30), presso la Sala Auditorium dell’Orto Botanico dell’Università degli Studi di Padova, si terrà il Convegno dal titolo SISTEMI INNOVATIVI DI MONITORAGGIO GEOTECNICO MEDIANTE SENSORI IN FIBRA OTTICA. La giornata organizzata dall’Università di Padova è rivolta a tutti i tecnici che operano nel campo del monitoraggio, della progettazione e del controllo delle strutture geotecniche e non solo. Vuole essere un momento per illustrare le potenzialità di sensori basati sulle fibre ottiche (Fibre Optical Sensors, FOS), le loro caratteristiche e le possibili applicazioni, e, infine, discutere delle difficoltà insite nell’utilizzo. I relatori, sia nazionali che internazionali, presenteranno numerose applicazioni di successo e non dei FOS, al fine di fornire una panoramica la più ampia possibile. MULTISCALE NUMERICAL MODELLING OF GEOMATERIALS – a short course in Grenoble (August 29 and 30, 2022)
The response of geomaterials at the engineering scale depends on their microstructure and the mechanisms occurring at small scale. Starting from imaging geomaterials under selected loading conditions, it is possible to study and then model the mechanisms occurring at the small scale. The results of this process can be used to inform macro scale models in a physics-based manner.
This short course is meant to introduce such innovative techniques:
- the first half-day session will take place at the Synchrotron in Grenoble. There will be the opportunity to visit this unique and innovative imaging facility and to learn the basic concepts of full-field measurement.
- the second half-day session will take place at Laboratoire 3SR on the Grenoble university campus. Lectures will introduce multiscale modelling and discuss different methods as DEM, FEMxFEM, FEMxDEM. Selected engineering and material science applications will be presented. After lunch, a bus will be organized for all participants to move to Torino for the official beginning of the IACMAG conference.

Mediterranean Lecture – Prof. Vassilis Marinos – Napoli 15 giugno 2022

Ashayeri (Razi University, Iran) terrà un corso sul tema “Seismic Microzonation: Principles and Practice for Mw 7.3 Iran Earthquake 2017”. Il corso si volgerà dal 27 al 30 giugno 2022 (ore 10-13) e dal 04 al 07 luglio 2022 (ore 15-18) presso l’aula M6 del Polo Micara (viale Pindaro 42, Pescara) ma è’ prevista la possibilità di seguire il corso da remoto.
