International Webinar on Rock Mechanics (1 July 2021)
The sixth session of the International Webinar on Rock Mechanics will be held on Thursday, July 1 at 5:00 pm (Paris time) by videoconference (see attached invitation).
This series of webinars is a collaboration of the young members groups CFMR_jeunes (France), AGI (Italy), SEMR (Spain), CTES-YM CHILE, Ingeokring (Netherlands) and SPEG (Peru).
The upcoming session is organized by the CFMR_jeunes group and will contain two presentations:
– Feedback from some injections carried out in a mixed soft rock and soil formation – Aï-Na BLAISE (Tractebel).
– Experimental and numerical investigations on rock salt macroscopic behavior in the context of underground storage – Mejda AZABOU (Storengy).
Participation is free and should be confirmed via the following form: https://lnkd.in/dwVQXne

GEOLAB project – webinar di presentazione delle infrastrutture di ricerca – 23 giugno 2021
Thanks to the GEOLAB project, it is possible to offer – free of charge – a total of 11 research facilities in the fields of geotechnical and environmental engineering. You can find information about these 11 research infrastructures in the attached PDF file.
As you and/or your research team may be interested on using some of these research infrastructures, we let you know that on June 23rd, from 10 to 12 AM (CEST), a webinar to present them and the call for proposal mechanisms will be celebrated.
The GEOLAB project will last for three years and there will be call for proposals every year.

Call for projects GEOLAB – Cambridge University
Dear Colleagues,
GEOLAB is an European network of renowned institutes bringing together six geo-centrifuges and six other large research facilities: a geo-model container, a pile foundation test pit, a static liquefaction tank, a railway track simulator, a large-scale triaxial apparatus and a set of field test sites. The overarching aim of GEOLAB is perform ground-breaking research & innovation that enhances the resilience of Europe’s Critical Infrastructure.
GEOLAB has just launched its First Call for Proposals to potential users among academia, SME and industry to gain access to excellent research facilities in the fields of geotechnical and environmental engineering. This so-called Transnational Access is free of charge and includes technical & scientific support from the hosting facility. This can be of high interest to you, offering the opportunity to test and validate innovative solutions for infrastructure and ageing.
In the upcoming webinar, “An Introduction to GEOLAB’s Geotechnical Research Facilities and How to Apply for Access”, the project partners will present GEOLAB’s research infrastructures and the call for proposals mechanisms. The event will take place on June 23rd at 10 AM CET.
