2nd International Congress of Geotechnical Engineering, Mining and Seismicity – 2 – 6 May 2022

In the framework of the15th anniversary, the GEOGROUP UNI presents the II International Congress of Geotechnical Engineering, Mining and Seismicity (CIGEMIS) on 2 – 6 May 2022. In this event, presentations will be made by leading researchers in geotechnical engineering, as well as student presentations and workshops. Topics related to Geotechnical Seismic Engineering, Deep Foundations, Geotechnics applied to mining and Soil Improvement will be addressed. Research Fellow – PARTIALLY SATURATED LIQUEFACTION. University of Southampton

The University of Southampton is seeking for a Research Fellow in Geotechnical Engineering to develop safety envelopes for partially saturated granular materials under cyclic loading using a hydro-mechanical geotechnical model. A PhD (or equivalent professional qualifications) and experience in computational modelling of partially saturated soil mechanics and cyclic loading are required. Please go to this site for more information and to apply for the position.

3 Post-doc researcher positions at University of Bristol, University of Southampton and Trinity College Dublin

             

Three researcher positions (up to 3 years duration) are available at University of Bristol,  and Trinity College Dublin to join the EPSRC-SFI funded project “ROBOCONE: intelligent robotics for next generation ground investigation and design”, an interdisciplinary project aiming to bring robotics and whole-life design to in situ soil characterization and geotechnical analysis.
